Franklin, NC - Etta Bernell Huscusson left this world to be with her Lord and Saviour on Saturday, December 20, 2014. She was born in Walhalla, South Carolina on January 21, 1925 and was the daughter of Simeon Long and Ellen Long Ledford. Etta Bernell Huscusson was a member of Cartoogechaye Baptist Church for many years.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Nesbitt Long, Herman Long, and Lee Doyle Long and two sisters, Blanche Cobb and, Brezell Lendt . She was also preceded in death by five half brothers, four half sisters and a set of twins. Numerous nieces and nephews survive.

Mrs. Huscusson's career spanned several decades.Initially she took care of many little babies and small children all of whom she especially loved. Later she worked in the cafeteria at Union Elementary School. In addition to being an excellent cook she enjoyed crocheting, quilting, gardening and growing flowers. She took great pleasure in reading her Bible until her eyesight failed and she became blind. Mrs. Huscusson will be fondly remembered for keen interest in the welfare of others and donations that she made to various community churches. She was a good neighbor to all and will be missed by her friends and relatives.

Funeral services will held at 2:00 PM Monday in the Chapel of Bryant Grant Funeral Home with Rev. Carson Gibson, and Rev. Steve Reeves officiating. Burial will be held at Mt. Zion Cemetery where she will be laid to rest beside her husband of 32 years, Mr. Arthur Huscusson.

The family will recieve friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
