Etta Jane Morgan

Franklin, NC - Etta Jane Morgan, age 88, of Franklin, NC passed away Friday, August 22, 2008 at a local nursing home. She was a native of Macon County, the daughter of the late Sam W. and Lillie Rogers Stanfield. She was married to the late Doyle Morgan. She had worked as a secretary for the Georgia State Patrol and was a member of First Baptist Church.

She is survived by a step-son, Carl Morgan of Atlanta, GA; a sister, Phoebe Horne of Americus, GA and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Ora Stanfield Raby, Mattie Stanfield and Belle Crunkleton; three brothers, Oline Stanfield, T.L. Stanfield and Willie Stanfield.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 24 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Dusek and Rev. Harold Ball officiating. Burial will be at Sugarfork Baptist Church Cemetery. Mike Horne, Sr., Mike Horne, Jr., Wesley Horne, Kenneth Crunkleton, Brian Templeton and Eugene Dean will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Sunday, August 24 from 1:00-2:00 PM, one hour prior to service at Bryant-Grant Funeral Home.
