Evelyn Suttle West

Franklin, NC - Evelyn Suttle West, age 89, of Franklin, NC passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2012. Born in Gaston County, she was the daughter of the late Peter Raymond and Mattie Mae Surber Suttle. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church, the Adult Sunday School Class and UMW. She was a member of the Nequassa Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star and a member of Little Bridge Club.

Mrs. West is survived by her husband of 70 years, Jesse L. West, Jr.; a son, Jesse Lyle West III and wife Charlene of Asheville, NC; six grandchildren, Alicia Reed, Jerry Lee Patton, Jr., Stephen Yonce, Mary Elizabeth Yonce; Jesse Lyle West IV (Jay) and Jeffrey West and five great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Evelyn Patton and Patricia Cabe and a grand daughter, Rebecca Lynn Patton.

Memorial services will be held Friday, November 30, 2012 at 11:30 am at First United Methodist Church with Reverend David Beam officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 10:30 11:30 am, one hour prior to the service, at the church.
