Floy Jean Southards Mccall

Franklin, NC - Floy Jean Southards McCall, of Mack Branch Road, Franklin, NC, passed away Friday, January 18, 2008 in a local nursing home. She was a native of Macon County, a daughter of the late John and Ida Welch Southards. She was married to the late George H. McCall, who passed away in 1994. She loved all her family and friends, she worked several years for Angel Hospital, because she loved the elderly. She was a member of the Franklin Church of God.

She is survived by five daughters, Cora Mae MacMurray, Dorothy Deitz and her husband Mark, Mildred Giles and husband Bruce, Margaret Sanders and husband Skip, all of Franklin, NC; and Karen Carnes and husband Robert of Sylva, NC; two sons, Kenneth McCall and his wife Lucille, Dallas McCall and his wife Anna all of Franklin, NC; 21 grandchildren 22 Great Grandchildren and 5 Great Great Grand Children A daughter-in-law Linda McCall Garner also survive. She was preceded in death by a son, Bill McCall, who passed away in 1984, and two sisters, Faye Cabe and Nobia Allen.

A funeral service will be held Monday January 21, 2008 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home, with Rev. Allan Taylor and Rev. Eugene Moore and Ty Carnes officiating. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Dan Waldroop, Randy McCall, Clifford Deitz, Skip Sanders, Ty Carnes, and Chuck Brooks. Burial will be in the Moore Welch Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM one and a half hours prior to the service at Bryant-Grant Funeral Home.
