Floyd Howard Hurst, Sr.

Mr. Floyd Howard Hurst, Sr., 84, of Franklin, NC, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2024. He was born February 11, 1940, in Macon County, NC to the late Albert and Bonnie Wykle Hurst.

Mr. Hurst worked in a mica plant for many years, he loved to play golf and loved his grand-babies and spending time with his family, he loved to pick on people and play jokes on people. He attended the Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Louise Kirkland Hurst; a daughter, Kathleen Creel of Franklin, NC and a son, Floyd Hurst, Jr.; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; three sisters and two brothers.

The family will be receiving friends and family at his home, 389 Kirkland Rd. Franklin, NC on Friday, May 31, 2024, from 3-7 pm.
