Fred Slagle Bulgin

Fred Slagle Bulgin, born March 13, 1942, passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2024.

He is survived by an older brother, Randolph, two younger sisters, Betty Ann Bryant and Mary Margaret Bulgin and two sons, Kevin Bulgin and John Ludlum. Fred was a man of many talents. In 1969, he began a thirty-year employment with Duke Power Co. as a welder at Oconee Nuclear Power Station. He retired from Duke as a senior quality control technician in 1999. After retirement, he worked as an independent radiographer until 2010 when he retired again and turned his attention to wood turning. Fred was a member of the Southern Highland Handicraft Guild, he was a serious craftsman and his work showed it.
