Fred William Kimble

Franklin, NC - Fred William Kimble, age 73, of Franklin, NC passed away Friday, October 31, 2014 at his residence. He was born in Scioto County, OH the son of the late Fred William and Mary Golden Kimble. He was a 1963 graduate of Ohio State University and was a member of the Luthiers Guild of America. Fred was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved making and playing musical instruments and he loved antique cars, enjoyed all kinds of sports, and played basketball for Ohio State and loved life and being with his family and friends. He lived life to the fullest.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Alice Nixon Kimble; two sons, Will Kimble and his wife Amy of Cincinnati, OH and Jason Kimble and his wife Michelle of Raleigh, NC; one brother, Tom Kimble of Cincinnati, OH; five grandchildren, Mary, Cole, Cooper, Laney and Lily.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 4:00 pm at the residence.
