Freddie James Mathis

Freddie James Mathis, 60, of Franklin passed away Monday, December 17, 2018. Mr. Mathis was born in Macon County, North Carolina on June 10, 1958 to the late Molly Rose Brooks and Paul Fred Mathis.

Mr. Mathis loved the mountains, fishing and ginseng digging.

Mr. Mathis is survived by a daughter, Tina Holliday, (Bobby), of Maryland, a son, Matthew Mathis, of Maryland, Four grandchildren, Destiny Holliday, Matthew Mathis, Jr., Cameron Mathis, Lilian Mathis, Three sisters, Vicky Abell, Carolyn Gibson, Linda Campbell, Two brothers, Harold Mathis, Tommy Mathis, one niece, Nicole Clark. A private family family service is to be held. Bryant-Grant Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the Mathis Family.
