Franklin - Garry Reynolds MacLean, age 58, of Franklin, NC passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at Memorial Mission Hospital in Asheville. He was born in Poughkeepsie, NY, the son of Donald (Jack) MacLean and Lois Garrison MacLean of Franklin, NC. He was an electrical contractor and owned his own business, MacLean Electrical Contracting. Garry was well loved by all who knew him, he was a kind soul who helped many in the community. He was always smiling, never had a complaint, happy to do everything himself. He spoke softly and carried a big stick. He would want his friends and family to celebrate his life rather than to mourn his death. Garry has done everything and done it well, he enjoyed being and working outdoors, motorcyles, cars and tractors. Garry actively pursued the protection of liberty and freedom for all Americans.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 36 years, Dianne Segall MacLean; two sons, Andrew Reynolds Jacob MacLean of Franklin, NC and Eric Ryan MacLean of Franklin; one brother, John Scott MacLean of Redondo Beach, CA.
A celebration of life for Garry will be held Wednesday, March 31 at 2:00 PM at the Franklin Covenant Church with Rev. John Makinson officiating. Friends and family are welcome.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Garrys memory to the American Heart Association, 189 Thomas Heights Road, Franklin, NC 28734.
