Gary Jonathan Pruett

Gary Jonathan Pruett, 55, of Franklin, NC passed away, Friday, July 20, 2018 at St. Joseph Hospital in Asheville, NC. He has battled his illness for several months and endured six surgeries before losing the battle the bravely fought for his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Birdie Pruett as well as his twin brother, Larry Pruett.

Survivors include his two sons, Tyler and Tanner Pruett of Franklin; two siblings, Rick Pruett (Debbie) of Denver, CO and Cathy Jones of Franklin; companion, Claudine McCracken; sister-in-law, Glenda Pruett; the mother of his children, Jan Pruett of Franklin; and his best friends, Scott Moore and Billy Peek. In addition, he leaves behind several nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.

Gary was very proud of his sons and he loved them very much.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 – 2:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
