Geneva "Jenny" Carol Payne Ward

Mt. Blanchard OH - Geneva "Jenny" Carol Payne Ward, 75, of Mt. Blanchard passed away at 6:18 p.m. on Monday, September 24, 2012 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay. Jenny was born on May 10, 1937, to the late Clay and Ellie (Ledford) Payne in Franklin, NC. Jenny married Loris E. Ward on January 13, 1984, and he survives.

Jenny is also survived by son, Freddie Scarlett of Franklin, NC; daughters: Shelia Sturgeon of Ft. Payne, AL and Donna Haynes of Cedar Bluff, AL; stepson, Dennis (Sherri) Ward of Arlington, OH; stepdaughter, Linda Obosla of Acworth, GA; half brother Kyle Payne of Otto, NC; half sister, Hazel Stamey of Franklin, NC; one grandson; four granddaughters; five great-grandsons; and one great-granddaughter. Jenny was also preceded in death by her parents; one grandson; one granddaughter and her spouse; and one great-granddaughter. Jenny was a homemaker and loved to dance, read, garage sales, flea markets, and picture painting.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 28, 2012 at Bryant-Grant Funeral Home, 105 W. Main St.,
Franklin, NC 28734.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Bryant-Grant Funeral Home. Reverend Janet Greene will officiate and burial will follow in Union United Methodist Cemetery, Franklin, NC.

Memorials may be made to Bridge Home Health and Hospice.
