George "Burt" Burton Johnson

George Burton “Burt” Johnson, 76, passed away Monday, June 3, 2019. Burt was born in Macon County, NC June 12, 1942 to the late Walter and Laura Ellen Anderson Johnson. He worked and retired from the construction business and attended the Church of God.

Survivors include his four children, Mary Ellen Wargo, Marcia Johnson, Jesse Johnson, and Clydia Johnson; two sisters, Eva Nell Clouse of Franklin, NC and Margaret Childers of Franklin, NC; several grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Burt was preceded in death by his two brothers, Danny Johnson and Billy Eugene Johnson.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 9, 2019 in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00-3:00 p.m. prior to the service.
