Gerritt Herman Kuiper

Mr. Gerritt Herman Kuiper, 74, passed away Friday, January 30, 2026. Mr. Kuiper was born July 1, 1951, in Cook County, Ill. to the late Herman Kuiper and Patricia Aiken.

Gerritt was a builder by trade. He loved being outdoors fishing and enjoying being in the mountains. He was a loving and caring man. He loved Franklin and being a father, grandfather, and uncle.

Survivors include his daughter, Tamny Rhodes; grandson Caleb Rhodes; sister, Caryn Burkett; nieces and nephews, Marcus Egan, Shelly Ward, Chris Burkett, Jeff Burkett, and Lynda Vedders.

In addition to his parents, Gerritt was preceded in death by a sister, Lynda Sherman.
