Gertrude Williams

Gertrude Williams, age 86, of Franklin, NC, passed away Thursday, October 15, 2015.  She was sborn in Bamberg, Germany, the daughter of the late Johann and Margaret Wich.  She was a homemaker and of the Catholic faith.  She was married to the late Lonnie Williams who died in 1994.  In additiion to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Donald Williams, and a sister, Betty Hummer.

She is survived by six daughters, Ingrid Biddix of Sylva, NC, Cathy Burch, Silvia Williams, Gail Carpenter, Elizabeth Neal and Gloria Busby all of Franklin, NC; two sons, David Williams and Johann Williams both of Franklin, NC; a sister, Teresa Wells of Columbus, GA, 15 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Friday, October 16, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Woodlawn Cemetery, with Rev. David Williams and Rev. Frank Rodriguez officiating.
