Gloria Elizabeth Jackson

Mrs. Gloria Elizabeth Jackson, 99, of Franklin, NC, passed away April 27, 2020.  She was born February 10, 1921 in Vicksburg, Mississippi to the late Andrew Jackson Green and Henrietta Myer Green.

Mrs Jackson lived in Crystal River, FL and moved to Franklin in 2016.  She was an auditor in bookkeeping and ran a hotel in the Caicos Islands, she also worked for Sears in sales and the credit department.  Mrs. Jackson loved to scuba dive and dance, she performed in plays and theater in Florida.  She was of the Roman Catholic faith and went to church in Crystal River, FL.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Orville C. Jackson and a daughter, Claudette Merkle.

Survivors include daughters, Gloria Davis of Franklin, NC and Naomi Giles of Pulaski, TN; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; and a  sister, Henrietta Brasfield of Vicksburg, MS.

A private service will be held at a later date.
