Gracie Jean Allen

Franklin, NC - Gracie Jean (Pete) Allen, 83, of Franklin, North Carolina passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2014.
She was born in Longview, TX, on March 12, 1931. She was preceded in death by her father Tommy Rain Allen; mother and step father, Annie Bell and Eugene Brown. After receiving her formal education and career training as a beautician, and tailor/seamstress, she moved to Franklin, North Carolina 11 years ago.

Gracie was a beloved member of the Franklin community and worked part time at the Macon County Senior Center for 8 years where she loved and adored the staff and clients. Through the years, she enjoyed fellowship with Burgess Chapel Church of God in Christ, in Franklin.

Gracie is survived by one daughter, Patricia Macklin Washington, (Edward) of Franklin, North Carolina. She is also survived by four grandchildren, LaDonna West (Walter) Johnson City, Tennessee, Pamela Richmond (El Shon) Nashville, Tennessee, Ericka Washington, Franklin, North Carolina, Chrystal Johnson (Robert) Orlando, Florida, and eight great grandchildren, DyAngelo, Nathan, Benjamin, El Ana Grace, Olivia, Zion, Jaylin Irene, and Chamella Rose.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at 4:00 pm at Bryant Grant Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 11:30 am at Stanmore Funeral Home in Longview, Texas.
