Gracie Doralee Coggins

Franklin, NC - Gracie Doralee Coggins, 81, of Franklin, NC passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2014. Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Dixie Pendergrass Ashe and M. A. "Doc" Taylor. She was married to L. E. Coggins who died in 2003. She was employed by Peakline Furniture and Burcliff Industries.

Mrs. Coggins was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and sister who liked to sew and grow flowers and she liked kittens. She was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by one daughter, Wanda Stanley and husband Harold of Franklin; two sons, Samuel Dills and wife Valerie of Franklin and Robert Coggins of Saluda, SC; one step son, Charles Sever of Florida; one sister, Dollie Pattillo of Smyrna, GA, eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one step son; two step daughters; one sister and four brothers.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 24, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Bryant Grant Funeral Home with Rev. Barry Bowman officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Todd Frantz, Jessie Frantz, Andrew Dills, Kyle Russell, Kenny Ledford and Jamie McCall. The family will receive friends Friday from 10:00 11:00 AM, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.
