Griffin Lane Mccall

On Monday, May 8, Griffin Lane McCall  passed peacefully from this life into the waiting and loving arms of both his Savior Jesus Christ and his wife, Colleen, who preceded him in death by 10 years.  He was born to Alvis and Loretta McCall, the fourth of eight beautiful children.  Griffin was a blessing.  His generosity knew no bounds and he did not know the word no.  Whenever someone asked something of him he made sure to make it happen.  He lived by the accord he and God worked out.  In the end, though it was hard to teach an old dog new tricks, God won and Griffin became the man God had designed him to be.  His children, Brenna, Kyle and Katie, as well as his grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends remember a great man, an awesome man, a sweet and mountain‑hard man, who loved, laughed, fought, cried and lived knowing that this life is a passing moment and eternity awaits.  He is in his hard‑won mansion over the hilltop.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 11:00 am at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Bull Pen Road, Cashiers, NC with Rev. Delbert McCall officiating.
