Harley "Junior" Lyle Stanfield, Jr.

Harley "Junior" Lyle Stanfield, age 88, of Franklin, NC, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2016.  He was born in Macon County, the son of the late Harley Lyle Stanfield, Sr., and Ester Holland Stanfield.  He was a truck driver for a furniture company; he loved to travel with his wife; fishing and camping and loved his cat and dog.  He was a US Army Veteran, serving during the Korean War.   He was a life member of the Franklin VFW and was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife, Georgia Edwina Bryson Stanfield; a daughter, Susan Elaine Stanfield Short of Franklin and a brother, Bill Stanfield of Franklin.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Regina Lee Stanfield.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 29th at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Bryant‑Grant Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Creighton officiating.  Burial will be in Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Johnny Stanfield, Larry Estes, Mark Stanfield, Tim Stanfield, Alan Berry, Keith Vinson, Patrick Jenkins and Bud Stanfield.   The Franklin VFW Post #7339 and American Legion Post #108 will conduct military graveside rites.

The family will receive friends Friday from 12:30 to 2:00 pm, prior to the service at the funeral home.
