Harley Moore Stewart

Krum TX - Harley Moore Stewart, 85 of Krum, Texas passed away on March 10, 2014 in Denton, Texas.

Mr. Stewart was born on December 5, 1928 in Franklin, North Carolina to Harley and Pearl Stewart. Mr Stewart attended Franklin Public Schools and served in the US Army and married Freda Elliott Stewart who preceded him in death on March 12, 1976. Mr. Stewart married Pat Taylor in 1989 and was a member of Gateway United Baptist Church.

Mr. Stewart is survived by his wife, Pat Stewart of Krum; Brother, Wayne Stewart of Franklin N.C.; Sister Jessie "Tootsie" Williams of Arden, N.C. sons; Harley and wife Julie Stewart III of Barnardsville, N.C., Larry and wife Kim Stewart of Sanger, Texas and stepson, Montie Taylor and wife Valarie of Rosston, Texas. Two step daughters, Brenda and husband, Steve Buster of Krum, Texas, Pam and husband Bobby Smotherman of Prosper, Texas; six Grandchildren, Houston Stewart, Bryse Buster, Ty Ward, Morgan and Kendal Stewart, and Karre Taylor and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at Gateway United Baptist Church in Denton, Texas on Friday, March 14, 2014 at 2:00 pm with the Reverend Buddy Owens officiating and burial will follow at Jackson Cemetery in Krum, Texas. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the church prior to the service.

The family request that memorials be sent to the charity of your choice in honor of Harley Stewart.
