Harold Dean "Bud" Carver

Franklin, NC - Harold Dean "Bud" Carver, age 67, of Franklin, NC passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2012. Born in Macon County, he was the son of the late Willard and Bertha Phillips Carver. He retired from B & B Concrete with 40 years service; loved trading guns and working on lawn mower engines.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Barbara Burch Carver; special children, Pherris, Lakelan, Tiersley and Brelle Swoffard; sister, Ann Perkins of Hickory, NC; three half-sisters, Carolyn Emory, Wonda Blakly of Clayton, GA and Gail Bates of Lowell, NC; brother, J. L. Carver of Franklin, NC and half brothers, Don, Roger and Ricky Bates all of Franklin, NC.

Funeral services will be held, Thursday, December 6, 2012 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home with Rev. Don Bates and Rev. Eugene Moore officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Daniel Swoffard, Darrin, Tim and Colton Burch, Chris Frady and Kevin Passmore. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2:00 - 3:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.
