Harold Williamson

Franklin -Harold Williamson, age 91,of Franklin passed away Saturday, January 8, 2011 at his residence. He was a native of Macon County and was the son of the late John and Mary Alma Huscusson Williamson. He was a retired farmer, beekeeper, timberman and sawmill worker. Mr Williamson had worked for Zickgraf Lumber Company and was a member of Prentiss Baptist Church where he served as deacon.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years Louise Ellen Roper Williamson, one daughter Rilla Marie Hughart and husband Wayne of Horse Shoe, NC, one son, Randall Harold Williamson and wife Sheila of Franklin; one sister, Gladys Wright of Irmo, SC; two grandchildren, Jeffrey Todd Williamson and Sally Ann Williamson; two great-grandchildren, Mason and Avery Williamson. He was preceded in death by a sister, Hazel Quilliams.

Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 13 with the Rev. Randy Drinnon and Rev. Lloyd Fish officiating. Burial will be in the Roper Cemetery. Jeff Williamson, Justin Higdon, Mickey Raby,Josh Cochran, Harold Huscusson, and Kevin Sanders will serve as pallbearers. The family will recieve friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
