Harry Lee Meeks

Harry Lee Meeks, 86, of Franklin passed away Saturday, February 13, 2016.  Born in Wadesboro, NC, he was the son of the late John and Berta Meeks.

Mr. Meeks was employed in insurance sales; he loved to cook old fashioned cooking and was of the Church of God faith.  He was a veteran of the U. S. Coast Guard.

He is survived by his wife Joyce Ann Taylor Meeks; one daughter, Susan Carroll (John) of Georgia; one sister, Johnsie Hill of Tampa, FL and one grandson, Jeffrey Meeks, Jr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Meeks; one brother and three sisters.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, February 18th at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Bryant‑Grant Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Carenet, 130 Bidwell Street, Franklin, NC  28734.
