Hazel Mozell (Stiles) Wilson

Mrs. Hazel Mozell Stiles Wilson, 97, passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2025. Mrs. Wilson was born February 13, 1928, in Macon, Co, NC to the late Lake Hudson Stiles and Ethel Roberts Stiles. She was married to the late Harl Jayhue Wilson who preceded her in 1977.

Mrs. Wilson was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved mowing her yard on her Snapper mower, gardening in her flowers, and watching the wildlife in her yard. She loved to visit people and be on the go. She was a prayerful lady and was a member of Prentiss Church of God.

Survivors include her daughter, Tamera Freeman of Rome, GA; a daughter-in-law, Debbie Payne (Buddy) of Franklin, NC; two granddaughters, Lori Webb (Gary) and Lisa Browning (Brian) both of Franklin, NC; six great-grandchildren, Taylor Webb, Carlye Webb, Kinsley Webb, Wyatt Browning, Branch Browning, and Clancy Browning.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Wilson, a son-in-law, Danny Freeman; three sisters, Laverne Henry, Priscilla Sargents, and Lillian Chastain; and three brothers, Billy Stiles, Bobby Stiles, and Bert Stiles.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, June 1, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home with the Rev. Brian Browning and Rev. Davis Hooper officiating. Burial will follow in the Rush Cemetery. Mrs. Wilson will lie in state at Bryant-Grant Funeral Home from 10:00am until funeral time at Bryant-Grant Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Gary Webb, Brian Browning, Wyatt Browning, Branch Browning, and Noah Carter.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that memorial donations be made to the Gideons International, 50 Century Blvd. Nashville, TN 37214-3672.

The family would like to thank all the staff at the Franklin House for the care they gave Mrs. Wilson over the years.
