Helen Dalton Morgan

Franklin, NC - Helen Dalton Morgan, 95, of Franklin passed away Friday, February 24, 2012. Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of John H. and Ada Gibson Dalton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Robert Mose Morgan; two sisters, Nina D. Holbrook and Alva D. Shelton; six brothers, Lon, Carl, Crawford, Joel, Rogers, and Lyman Dalton. She was a loving mother, excellent homemaker, and volunteered at Angel Auxillary Thrift Shop. She was a member of Cowee Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons, Robert (Max) Morgan (Kay) of Rock Hill, SC and Lyman Dale Morgan (Blanche) of Franklin; three grandchildren, James Morgan (Cynthia), Jayne Watson (Brian) and Jill Bell (Ralph); six great-grandchildren, Harris and Nate Morgan, Bennett and Morgan Watson, Christopher and Lauryn Bell, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Monday, February 27, 2012 in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Stevens officiating. Burial will be in Cowee Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Bryant-Grant Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to the Cowee Baptist Church, 6301 Bryson City Road, Franklin, NC 28734.
