Helen Henderson Simmons

Franklin - Helen Henderson Simmons, 82, of Franklin passed away Saturday, July 13, 2013. Born in Macon Co., she was the daughter of the late Fritz John and Charlotte Ledbetter Henderson. She was preceded in death by her husband, T. L. Simmons who died in 1976.

Mrs. Henderson was an inspector for Burlington Industries for 25 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and loved flowers and gardening. She was a member of Union United Methodist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Jean Dreml of Franklin and Margaret Anderson of Dequincy, LA; one son, Fritz Simmons of Franklin; one sister, Jo Henderson of Wilkesboro, NC and two brothers, Vernon Henderson and Louie Henderson both of Franklin; nine grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a daughter, Dana Shope; a sister, Kathryn Henderson and a brother, F. J. Henderson.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 20th at 2:00 p.m. at Union United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Janet Greene officiating.
