Hermie Brown Woodard

Hermie Brown Woodard, 92, of Sylva passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at her home. She was born May 16, 1927 to the late Bain Brown and Myrtle Woods Brown. Mrs. Woodard was a loving mother, wife and grandmother. She was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Woodard is preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Woodard. She is survived by a daughter; Kathy Woodard of Sylva, NC and a brother; Clarence Brown of Rosman, NC. Grandchildren; Justin Woodard and Autumn Woodard both of Sylva, NC. Three great-grandchildren; Jeffery Woodard, John Woodard and Micheal Woodard.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, Tuesday, September 10, 2019 in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Woodring Cemetery, with Rev. Steve Alexander and Rev. Eddie Stillwell officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00pm to 2:00pm prior to the service at Bryant-Grant Funeral Home.
