Ila Elizabeth Scott Wooten

Franklin, NC - Ila Elizabeth Scott Wooten, 77, of Franklin, NC passed away Sunday, August 24, 2014. A native of Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Tom and Nanny Brendle Scott. She was married to Fred Wooten who preceded her in death in 2012.

Mrs. Wooten was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who liked flower gardening and knitting. She was a member of Watauga Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Shelia James and husband Clayton of Seneca, SC; two grandchildren, Shane Golden and Jack Beaty and two great grandchildren, McKinnley Golden and Julie Beaty. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a daughter, Freda Beaty; a sister, Magalene Kenney, and five brothers, Melvin, Frank, R. L., H. B., and Adam Scott.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Bryant Grant Funeral Home with Rev. Jeremy Garrett officiating. Burial will be in Clarks Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jerry Scott, Ricky Scott, Ronnie Scott and Tony Scott. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:00 1:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.
