Inez O. Bateman
Inez Bateman, 86, of East Brainerd passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at her daughters home.
A native of Nantahala, NC, Mrs. Bateman was a longtime resident of Hamilton Cty. and a member of the River of Life Church.
She is survived by her husband, Cecil Bateman; daughters, Jeanie Hammond, wife of Hamilton County Sheriff Jim Hammond, Chattanooga, Barbara (Richard) Donham, Ooltewah and Debra (Joel) Kuhn, Locust Grove, GA; sisters, Louise Day and Wanda Ballew both of NC; fifteen grandchildren,, thirty-eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 2:30 PM at Briartown Baptist Church, Topton, NC with Rev. S.J. Waters officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Bateman will lie in state at the church from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm on Saturday.
