Irene (Lowe) Ramsey

Irene Lowe Ramsey, 88, of Franklin, NC passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2016. Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Eva Houston Lowe. She was married to Roy W. Ramsey who preceded her in death on March 4, 2014.

Mrs. Ramsey was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Cowee Baptist Church and the Dorcas Sunday School Class.

She is survived by a daughter, Brenda Perry Moore of Franklin; two sons, Michael Ramsey (Janice) and Ben Ramsey (Cheryl) all of Franklin; six grandchildren; 12 great‑grandchildren and two great‑great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son, Tommy Ramsey and three sisters, Cleo Mashburn, Ruth Robinson and Birdell Hurst.

A funeral service will be held Monday, December 19, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Cowee Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Smith, Rev. Ronnie Branson and Rev. Lloyd Fish officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 1 til 2:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, at the church.
