Irving Giddes

Mr. Irving Giddes, 88, passed away Saturday, October 13, 2018.

Mr. Giddes was born August 14, 1930 in Somerset, NJ. to the late Irving B. Giddes and Harriett Kehoe Giddes.  Irving owned his own general contracting business in Ft. Myers, Fl. after retirement he later moved to Franklin, NC. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing cards. He was also of the Baptist faith.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years in August of 2017.

Survivors include his daughter, Patricia Giddes Vinson (Scott) of Franklin, NC; two grandchildren, Olivia Vinson and Tiffany Giddes; a brother, E.H. Giddes; and a nephew, Mike Carter.

Mr. Giddes was preceded in death by a son, Bruce Giddes.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 17, 2018 in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronnie Branson officiating. Burial will follow in the Roper Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the chapel service.
