Jack Edward Cheek

Jack Edward Cheek, 75, of Franklin, NC, went to be with the Lord, Monday, February 19, 2018.  He was born in Macon County,  the son of the late William Oliver Cheek and Jane Sorrells Cheek.  In his quiet world he liked to watch westerns and army movies.  Jack loved the Lord and loved Church when he was able to attend.  He loved his family and enjoyed eating.  He was a member of Franklin Church of God.

He is survived by a sister, Anne Sanders of Cornelia, GA, two brothers, Jim Cheek of Franklin, NC and Don Cheek of Tallulah Falls, GA.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Ora Wykle, Helen Jacobs, Margie Baldwin and Betty Tilley and four brothers, Gene, Sherrill, Bill and Clyde Cheek.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Franklin Church of God at 2:00 pm with Rev. Michael Stevens, Rev. Robert Dryman and Rev. Eugene Moore officiating.  Burial will be at Prentiss Church of God Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Eddie Wykle, Howard Johnson, Claude Waldroop, David Hasting, Hank Conner and Clay Patton.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm, one hour prior to the service at the Church.
