Jack L. Mattox

Cullowhee, NC - Jack L. Mattox died at his home on Sunday, 23 Nov 2014 of a suspected heart attack. He was a decorated veteran of the Viet Nam war, a welder in the steel mills in St Louis, and recently retired from Cimmaron Homes of Highlands, North Carolina. He attended Pine Creek Baptist Church and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his daughters Lisa R. Mattox of St. Petersburg, Florida and April D. Mattox of Cashiers, North Carolina; beloved sisters Jan Tilker and Sue Phillips; brothers Leon Mattox, Reggie Nichols, Jerry Nichols, Pete Nichols and Jeff Nichols. He was preceded in death by his mother Alta Irene Holloway and father Jack Mattox.

The memorial service and burial will be at Pine Creek Baptist Church, Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends from 1 2:00 pm prior to the service at the church.
