James Mcpherson Anderson

Franklin, NC - James McPherson Anderson, 90, of Otto, NC passed away Friday, July 25, 2014. Born in Prince George, British Columbia, Canada, he was the son of the late Robert and Minnie Osbourne Anderson. He was married first to Gloria Anita Johnson Anderson who died in 1999 and later to Marie Fleta Goodson Anderson who died in 2014.

He was employed in the building supply industry, owning A & J Supply Company and Kendall Roofing Company and was a veteran of the Royal Canadian Air Force. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather who loved boating and fishing on Biscayne Bay. He was a member of Hickory Knoll United Methodist Church where he was active in Men on a Mission.
Mr. Anderson is survived by daughter, Cathy Honerkamp of Otto, NC; daughter-in-law, Elia Anderson; step-daughter, Linda Sue Hopkins of Virgie, KY; step-son, Jeffery Huggins of Ft. Myers, FL; sister, Dorothy Lamb of British Columbia; brother, Robert Anderson of British Columbia; two grandchildren, Kelly Maisa and Michael Honerkamp and four great-grandchildren, Michelle Maisa, Ayden Maisa, Andrew Honerkamp and Neal Honerkamp. He was preceded in death by a son, Colin Anderson, who died in 2001.

A memorial service will be held Friday, August 1, 2014 at 4:00 PM at Hickory Knoll United Methodist with Pastor Paul Sears officiating.
