Mr. James Kenneth Cook, 89, passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2024. Mr. Cook was born October 30, 1934, in Cherokee, Co. NC to the late Earnest Cook and Florence Breedlove Cook.
Kenneth worked and retired from Stanley Furniture, Robbinsville, factory. He was also a member of Aquone Baptist Church. He was a U. S. Army Veteran serving in Korea. He loved to hunt ginseng, do yardwork, and landscaping. His greatest love was spending time with his family.
Survivors include his daughter, Dwayna Jones (Bradley Pyle) of Nantahala; three sons, David Cook (Tonya) of Nantahala, Danny Cook (Michelle) and Dennis Cook (Teresa) both of Moultrie, GA; three sisters, Marcella Barton, Martha Wilson, and Margaret Moody; seven grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Roper Cook; two sisters, Mamie Cook, and Mary Parker; and a brother, Donald Cook.
A private family burial will take place at Aquone Cemetery.
