James Edward "Eddie" Norton

Franklin, NC - James Edward "Eddie" Norton, age 50, of Hatfield Road, Franklin, NC passed away Thursday, September 25, 2008 at his residence. He was born in Greenville, SC, the son of the late Carson Henry Norton and Doris Owens Norton of Easley, SC. He was a respiratory therapist at Angel Medical Center. He enjoyed playing music in a band and loved animals and gardening. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Rowena Abella Norton; one daughter, Alexandra Nicole Norton of the home; one son, Jaime Norton and his wife, Alicia of Franklin, NC; two sisters, Donna Finley and her husband Don of Kershaw, SC and Becky Franklin and her husband, Jerry of Greenwood, SC; two grandchildren, Tori and Ethan Norton. Several nieces and nephews also survive. He is also survived by his first wife, Debra Lynn Crosby Norton.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 27 at 11:30 AM at St. Francis of Assisi with Father Tien H. Duong officiating.

The family will receive friends after the service at Bryant-Grant Funeral Home from 2:00-3:00PM, Saturday, September 27.

Graveside services will be held Sunday, September 28 at 3:00 PM at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Easley, SC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shriner Children’s Hospital, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
