James Edward Keener

Franklin - James Edward Keener, 83 of Franklin passed away Friday, December 6, 2013 in an Asheville Hospital. He was born in Macon County January 22, 1930, the son of the late William A. and Nancy J. Fox Keener. Mr. Keener was a US Army Veteran during the Korean War.

He was a loving husband and was a retired caretaker and liked to hunt and fish and was of the Baptist Faith.
Mr. Keener is survived by his wife of 53 years, Margie Cabe Keener and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Irene Holbrooks, Virginia Waters and Marie Crawford and 1 brother, William H. Keener.

Memorial services will be held Monday December 9, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Bishop and Rev. David Williams officiating. The family will recieve friends one hour prior to the service at the Funeral Home.
