James Richard Mccollum, Jr

Franklin - James Richard McCollum, Jr. (J.J.), age 7, of Franklin passed away Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Memorial Mission. He was born in Jackson County, the son of James Richard and Lynn McCall McCollum. He attended Monte Vista Baptist Church in Mtn. Rest, SC.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his maternal grandmother Phyllis McCall of Mtn. Rest, SC; one sister, Roslynn Mae McCollum of the home and one brother, Austin William McCall of the home. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Jerry McCall and his paternal grandmother, Sharon Califf.

Memorial services will be held Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at 6:00 pm in the Chapel of Bryant Grant Funeral Home with Rev. Pat Ashworth and Todd Meiser officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:00 - 6:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home. As J.J. would say, "GO DAWGS".

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations be made to Bryant Grant Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Franklin, NC 28734 to help with expenses.
