James Richard Patton, Sr

Franklin, NC - James Richard Patton, Sr., age 75, of Marietta, GA, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2014. He was born in Macon County, the son of the late Carey B. and Gertrude Cunningham Patton. He had worked as an Avionics Supervisor for Lockheed Aircraft, and was a US Navy Veteran. He was a member of American Legion Post #29 in Marietta, GA.

He is survived by a son, James Richard Patton, Jr and his mother, Carol Ficks Patton of Marietta, GA; three brothers, Howard Patton of Panama City, FL, Joseph Patton of Wimberly, Texas, and Carey Patton, Jr. of Franklin, NC. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Novella Patton, and two brothers, Claybourne Patton and Jerry Patton.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Woodlawn Cemetery, with Rev. Vic Greene officiating.
