James Craig Witherington

Franklin, NC - James Craig Witherington, age 64 of Franklin, NC, passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2010 in an Asheville hospital. He was a native of Birmingham, Alabama, the son of the late Craig and Marge Whiddon Witherington. He was a truck driver, owning his own business. He loved his dogs, Bama and Champ, he loved Crimson Tide especially when they were winning, he also loved Duke Blue Devils and NASCAR.

He is survived by his wife of twenty-nine years, Linda Fox Witherington, five sons, Kevin Witherington and wife Charlene, Eric Witherington and wife Michelle, Robert Duane Armes and wife Christa all of Birmingham, Al, Mark Witherington of Atlanta, GA, and Travis Armes and wife Stephanie of Raleigh, NC; one sister, Ann Higdon and husband Ron of Killen, AL; two nieces, Holly Thompson and Heather Kirby; grandchildren, Brookelyn, Rylee, Olivia, Ashley, Payton, Conner, Garrett, Chloe, Cody and Andrew.

Memorial services will be held Sunday, October 10th at 3:00pm in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home, with Rev. Tim Hayes officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 till 3:00 pm, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. At other times at Eddie Fox residence, 354 Sugarfork Church Road, Franklin, NC.
