Janette Grant Passmore

Trinity NC - Janette Grant Passmore, 79, of Trinity, North Carolina, died Sunday, March 29, 2015 in a Winston-Salem, North Carolina hospital. Janette was a native of the Nantahala Community. She later moved to Waynesville, North Carolina where she spent the next 50 years before moving to Trinity. Janette was a homemaker and she enjoyed yard sales. She was of the Baptist faith. Janette was a loving mother and she loved her grandchildren very much.

She was the daughter of the late Henry Lawton and Ardella Mashburn Grant. She was also preceded in death by a son, Richard Samuel Passmore; two sisters, Midge Cunningham and Irene Grant; and two brothers, Mark and John Grant.

Surviving are her husband of 58 years, James W. "Jack" Passmore; a son, Scotty Passmore of Asheboro, North Carolina; a sister, Mary Jo Passmore of Nantahala; two brothers, Bob Grant and wife, Carolyn of Tiger, Georgia, and Buster Grant of Clayton, Georgia; two grandchildren, Josh Passmore and Brandie Passmore; and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 1 in Bethel Hill Baptist Church with the Revs. David Postell and Marlin McMahan officiating. The interment will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Matt and Mikel Morgan, George Postell, and Josh Passmore.

The family will receive friends from 12-1:45 Wednesday afternoon at the Bethel Hill Baptist Church prior to the services.
