Janice Amelia Miller Henderson

Franklin, NC - Janice Amelia Miller Henderson, age 76, of Franklin, NC passed away peacefully in her sleep, Thursday, August 21, 2013 at a local nursing center. She was born in Macon County, the daughter of the late Dover Howard and Frankie Virginia Tallent Miller. She was a supervisor for Burlington Industries. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and loved gardening, flowers and mowing the lawn.

She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Charles Lester Henderson; her daughter, Ellen Kaye McCall Plemmons of Franklin, NC, step daughters, Tammy Miller and her husband, Jonathon of Lakemont, GA and Rhonda McCarthy and husband James McCarthy II of Lawrenceville, GA; her son, Jerry Dan McCall and his wife Janet of Franklin, NC, three step sons Mike Henderson and his wife April, Charlie Henderson and Leslie Henderson and his wife Carol all of Dillard, GA; seven sisters, Linda Garner and her husband, Lee, Judy Pickens , Connie Curtis and Gail Tallent and her husband, Carroll all of Franklin, NC, Lucille Punch of Denver, NC. Betty Ramey and her husband, Vaughn of Wiley, GA and Sue Owen and her husband Tim of Hartwell, GA; one brother, Steve Howard Miller and his wife, Yvonne of Franklin, NC; her special roommate at Macon Valley Care Center, Edna Boone. Five grandchildren and six great grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Lenis McCall; her daughter, Teresa Ann McCall and a sister, Dorothy Grant.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 25 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Bryant Grant Funeral Home with Rev. David Powell and Rev. Ronnie Branson officiating. Burial will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery. Mike Henderson, Charlie Henderson, Paul Dobbins, Lee Garner, Tim Owen and Vaughn Ramey will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Sunday, August 25 from 1:00 2:00PM, one hour prior to the service at Bryant Grant Funeral Home.
