Jean (Ammons) Doster

Mrs. Jean Ammons Doster, 92, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2025. Mrs. Doster was born April 7, 1932, in Macon County, NC to the late Gordon Ammons and Sadie Cabe Ammons.

She worked and retired from the carpet manufacturing business. She was a faithful member of Clark's Chapel United Methodist Church where she played the piano and church organ for years. She loved gardening and planting beautiful flowers. Her greatest love was being a wife, mother, and grandmother.

Survivors include her son, Keith Doster; grandchildren, Jacob Doster, and Kayla Doster Shepherd (Josh); and three siblings, Earl Ammons, Margaret Angel, and Dale Ammons.

In addition to her parents Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Doster; a son, Ricky Doster; and two brothers, Thomas Ammons and Larry Ammons.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, January 9, 2025, in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home with the Rev. Emily Robbian and Rev. Janet Greene officiating. Burial will follow at Clark's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 AM prior to the service at the funeral home.
