Jerry Fouts Dills

Franklin, NC - Jerry Fouts Dills, age 78, of Franklin, NC passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2013. A lifelong resident of Macon County, he was the son of the late Lester B. and Exie Henderson Dills. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean Conflict and was a retired lineman with Duke Energy having 31 years service.

He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who loved his family dearly and enjoyed fishing and gardening. He was a former member of Franklin VFW.

Mr. Dills is survived by his wife of 50 years, Nina Norris Dills; a daughter, Mitzi Dills Warman and husband David of Otto, NC; a son, A. Nick Dills and wife Jennifer of Crestview, FL; two sisters, Evelyn Huber of Franklin, NC and Modean Wray of Columbia, SC and a brother, Glenn Dills of Franklin, NC. Five grandchildren, Torie, Brooklyn, Tyler, Hunter and AnnaRose, also survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Bryant Grant Funeral Home with Rev. Al Beck and Rev. Matt Morris officiating. Burial will be in Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Warman, Bruce Elliott, Larry Norris, Chris Norris, Torie Waldroop and Chad Elliott.
Franklin VFW Post #7339 and American Legion Post #108 will perform full military graveside rites.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 2:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.
