Jessie Wymer Mason

Franklin - Jessie Wymer Mason, age 80, of South Skeenah Road, Franklin, NC went to be with his Lord Saturday, February 27, 2010 at his home. He was born February 8, 1930 in Rabun County, GA, to the late Dan and Ida Hastings Mason. He loved his family and enjoyed gardening, camping and fishing. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Maggie Ledford Mason of the home; two sons, Danny Mason and wife Dana of Franklin, NC, Bill Mason and wife Chris of Franklin, NC; one sister, Sarah Keener of Clayton, GA; one brother, Frank Mason of Franklin, NC; six grandchildren, Toby, Jody, Zachery and Amanda Mason, Shawnna Key and Ryan Dunn; six great-grandchildren, Max, Makenzie, Landon, Tyler Mason, Wyatt and Chloe Key; several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Julie Chastain; three brothers, Earl, Woodrow and J.R. Mason.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Eddie Stillwell and Rev. Frank Rodriquez officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Toby Mason, Jody Mason, Zachery Mason, Ryan Dunn, Michael Key and Gary Mason will serve as pallbearers. Nephews, Doug Mason, Keith Mason, Junior Mason, Jack Mason, Harvey Hastings and Tommy Chastain will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends, Monday, March 1st from 6:00 till 8:00 PM at Bryant-Grant Funeral Home.
