Jessie Jane Wilson

Franklin, NC- Jessie Jane Wilson, 83, of Franklin, NC passed away Friday, March 1, 2013. Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late J. Frank Wilson and Elva Solesbee Wilson. Jessie was the manager of the Cowee School cafeteria for several years and also retired from Caterpillar where she worked as a machine operator until the age of 75. She was a member of Cowee Baptist Church and she liked gardening, traveling and was a big Elvis fan.

She is survived by one daughter, Patricia Owenby and companion Jack Hendrixson of Franklin, NC and one son, Mitchell Owenby and wife Gloria of Franklin, NC; two brothers James Arnold Wilson of Andrews, NC and Ray Newman Wilson and wife Bobbie of Andrews, NC; three grandchildren Stacey Owenby, Stephanie Reese and husband Jason, Jason Simpson and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 4, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home with Rev. David Powell and Rev. John Raby officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ron Wilson, Jamie Wilson, Gray Wilson, Mike Breedlove, Joe Breedlove and David Morgan. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 pm two hours prior to the service, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Cowee Baptist Church at 6301 Bryson City Rd. Franklin, NC 28734.
