Jo (Mason) Fincher

Jo Mason Fincher, 67, of Lakemont, Ga. passed away Sunday, April 5, 2020. Jo was born March 20, 1953 in Macon County, NC to the late Woodrow Mason and Edith Hastings Mason. She retired as an office assistant at the Rabun County Tax Office.Jo loved to travel, shopping, taking pictures of blooming trees and her IPad. She was a great cook and enjoyed being with her family and friends. She was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

Jo is survived by her husband of 47 years, John H. Fincher, Jr. of the home.; a daughter, Holly Fincher of Flowery Branch, Ga.; a son John H. Fincher, III of Clayton, Ga; one grandchild, Taylor Fincher of Cleveland, Ga.; a sister, Dorothy Mason Knight of Franklin and two brothers, Doug Mason and Junior Mason both of Franklin. In addition to her parents, Jo is preceded in death by her brother, Gerald Mason.

A private graveside service will be held Thursday in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Franklin, NC. Mrs. Fincher will lie in state from 12:00pm-4:00pm Wednesday, April 8, 2020  at Bryant-Grant Funeral Home.
