Joann Bryson Cabe

Franklin, NC - Joann Bryson Cabe, born April 15, 1926, passed away March 16, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert E. and Lena B Bryson; her husband, Jack Dempsey Cabe, who passed away July 5, 2012; two sisters and three brothers.

Survived by two daughters, Jan C. Moore and husband Chris; Laura C. McCurry and husband Vernon; grandsons, Corey C. and Shawn McCurry.

She was born in Stow, Ohio. She worked many years in different positions with the state government, N.C. University, Dept. of Transportation and Dept. of Human Resources.

She was active for many years in the Holly Springs Community Club, and was elected Woman of the Year twice by this club. She worked in several different positions in the First Baptist Church; as a Volunteer at Angel Medical Center for over 20 years and worked with the Meals on Wheels for 15 years. She was also a Past Worthy Matron with the Eastern Star, Pisgah Chapter 198.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 18 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Bryant Grant Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Brown & Rev. Jim Dusek officiating. Burial will held at Woodlawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends following the service.
