John L. Kouns Iii

Franklin, NC - John L. Kouns III, age 81, of Belleview Park Rd., Franklin, NC passed away Monday, February 7, 2011 in a local hospital. Born in Ashland, KY, he was the son of the late John L. and Peggy Hacward Kouns. He was married for sixty-two years to Doris E. Kouns, who died January 8, 2011. He was a supervisor of store front glass installations and a member of Sugarfork Baptist Church.

He is survived by two daughters, Diana K. Prine and husband Billy of Valdosta, GA and Rebecca Lyn McNeil of Franklin, NC; one son Johnny C. Kouns of Live Oaks, FL, two sisters, Peggy Lou Ratliff and Jane Roberts both of Ashland, KY and two brothers, Jimmy Kouns of Vero Beach, FL and David Kouns of Dayton, OH. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Sean and Heather Prine, Rene McNeil, Brittany and Chris Kouns and four great-grandchildren, Katie, Allie, Dillan and Lexie.

Memorial services will be held at at a later date.
