John Martin Velsor

John Martin Velsor, 77 of Concord, NC passed away Sunday, September 19, 2021 at his residence. Mr. Velsor was born September 25, 1943 in New York, NY to the late William Stanley Velsor and Catherine McCormick Velsor. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, he was a faithful member of Multiply Church (CFA) where he served in the Sr. Adult Luncheon and faithfully participated in the visitation of Nursing Home Ministry. John and his wife Mary were always the first to pray, visit, bring a meal, sit, cry with or help in any way needed. They are a true example of sharing the love of Christ. John retired after 20 years of service from Adams Outdoor Advertising. John is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary Grix Velsor of the home; two sons, William Velsor of Alabama, John Velsor (Shannon) of Minnesota; two daughters, Lori Ann Buss ( fiance' Jessie Flores) of Gastonia, NC and Christine Harvey (Charlie) of Kannapolis; Grandchildren, Jennifer McIntosh (Vonta McIntosh), Joy Wray, Jamie Buss, Terrel Velsor, Maurice Velsor, Marcellus Velsor, Holiday Harvey, Aiden Velsor and Asher Velsor; Great Grandchildren, Alyviah McIntosh, Falcon McIntosh and Jenson McIntosh. In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by his grandson, Jase Flores; and two brothers, William Velsor and Robert Velsor. The family will receive friends from 2:30-4:00 P.M. Monday, September 27, 2021 at Multiply Church in Suite 15.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held 4:00 P.M. following the visitation. A military service will be on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at 9:00 A.M. at the Salisbury National Cemetery.
